I guess you are really in there...

Today we got to hear Baby W's heartbeat for the first time. It was so surreal. Between the lack of a period, constant sickness and other fun symptoms its hard not to acknowledge that I am growing a little one but to actually hear the heartbeat is a whole different story. There is actually a little person in there! Baby W has a healthy heartbeat at 174 beats per minute. Some say that means Baby W is a girl....which is also what the Chinese Gender Predictor test says so I guess we will just have to wait and see if the old wives's tales are correct. Either way we are so blessed that Baby W is healthy and progressing just as he or she should! Hearing the heartbeat has gotten me really excited for my first ultrasound. Too bad I apparently have another 10 weeks until that's happening! :( The good news is they should definetly be able to tell us the gender at that point, even though Dr. Benson is trying to talk us into not finding out. As amazing of a surprise as that would be on the day of the baby's birth I just don't think we can wait!

We learned we were pregnant on March 14, 2011 and Baby W is due November 20, 2011. Pregnancy has already been quite the journey and I started this blog to share those trials and tribulations with my friends and family near and far. Enjoy the ride, I know we are!
